- "Outspoken for 4H" Ride
Hi everyone,
In almost exactly a month (June 14-17 2012) myself and a couple of other PPCC members will be taking part in a ride that I have looked forward to for the past 6 years. This ride is an awesome fundraiser for West Virginia kids and the 4H program. Thanks to anyone who can donate to the ride! The other riders from the club right now are Jenny Eaton, Andy E., and James Grantham. Feel free to donate to any one of us. Cheer us on and I count on all of you guys to push me to train harder for the next month..:) And same as last year, I will offer tune-ups or repairs for donations..:) - Tuesday 5/15 Route 9 Ride Update
I think it might rain between 6 and 7Pm but no thunderstorms.
I am going out to Currie Parking Lot, but it is open for discussion among those that show. I will not wait past 6PM - Sleepy Creek ride
Sleepy Creek ride from my house Wednesday and Thursday evening. Try to do the loop Cheryl and Marcus came over to do a few weeks ago. I will try better to keep my bike parts in place. I'm flexible on start time. If anyone is interested, let me know. We can hammere out the specifics.

I just registered Ellen & I for the Covered Bridge Metric Century in Lancaster, PA for Sunday August 19, 2012. I did this ride in 2008 and I know a lot of you have done it in the past as well. It's really a great ride.
Registration Cut-off either at 2600 registrations or July 1, 2012, whichever comes first. There will be NO day of registration. $35, T-Shirts, & Jerseys are extra.
- Friday at the Barn
I will be heading up Friday morning to our cabin. I should be there sometime around 9. I would like to do a ride around 10 if anyone would like to join me. I am thinking around 30-40 miles with as little climbing as I can design into a route. Cheers Scott
Idea 1.

I know many of you will be at the Lost River Barn next weekend, but for anyone who isn't; I am planning on riding on the Great Allegheny Passage just to get some miles in. My plan is to leave Cumberland and ride up towards Pittsburgh as far as Meyersdale, grab some refreshments at Sheetz (near trail) and head back. Should be about 65 miles round trip.
- Rt 9 Tue 5/15/12
I'll be at the Currie parking lot for Route 9 ride @ 6PM.
Long range forecast calls for possible thunderstorms.
We wait and see if that "holds any water" ;-) - Sunday Afternoon Ride
Scott Bean, Johnny Dyer and myself are going to do 30-40M from Johnny's tomorrow afternoon at 3. Probably find some hills along the way. Hope some more folks will join in. Post up if you are plan on riding. See ya tomorrow, Charlie
- rolling ridge this weekend?
I know that not many of us have taken advantage of this place, so I'm not 100% that we still have access, but is anyone interested in heading to rolling ridge this Saturday morning for some mountain biking?
- Saturday afternoon 30-60 mile ride
Dave created this route: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/1108068
We invite you to meet us at the Petsmart parking lot Saturday, May 5th. The start time is flexible as long as we start after 11:30AM. Nicole has a soccer game in the morning. Dave is planning to do the loop once (30 miles). I'd like to go around a second time after a quick stop at Sweet Frog, but not by myself.
